Sitting Next to a Stranger is out! - get your copy
October 2024
I made this promise to myself 2.5 (!) years ago: Commit to a life of writing and finish writing a book, because that's what you’ve always dreamed of doing.
So how is it going? ✨
-
Started writing Nora’s book in May 2022 and wrote “The End” in July 2023. I shed a tear and opened a 🍾

Took a break before implementing three rounds of feedback. This means: lots of rewriting but also hearing strangers say that they loved my MC, laughed out loud, and didn’t want scenes to end.

I learned so much! Omg! About books, characters, publishing, art, writing writing writing, presentation, language, being an artist, myself.
How is it really going?
Uhhh… Sometimes I’m insecure about the process (and myself and my art and my Dutch/English language) and often impatient because I want to share my book with basically everyone, but mostly soooo good because I did what I promised myself. And I spend my days with words and fiction. 📚📝📖❤️

What’s more?
-
I’m currently working on my second novel.
-
My Poetry Collection is almost finished and I want to self-publish it in spring. It will be a combination of (mostly) Dutch and English poetry.
-
I will create things I haven’t even thought of. And I’m so grateful to feel the magic of writing. ✨
